Personal Injury: Recovery of $2,600,000 in Elevator Accident Case
Our client was making a delivery at a commercial building when he fell down an exposed service elevator shaft. As a result of the fall, the client sustained serious fractures to his arm that required surgical treatment. Plaintiff also exhibited signs of a possible brain injury.
Before evidence could be altered, we immediately sent our investigators to the site. Our investigators determined that the building owner had rigged the elevator system so that the cab would move without the outer doors closing. We also learned through investigation that the defendants rigged the elevator so that workers could more quickly move supplies and materials.
Our experience in serious personal cases, including the specific issues inherent in brain injury cases, enabled us to understand and present evidence of the extent of plaintiff's injuries.
We ultimately recovered over $2,600,000 for our client.
